World War Z

GOOD

Year: 2013

I was waiting for this movie and I was little disappointed as I was not that scared. Yet it’s still a good film which I recommend people to watch. At least they kind of explain how the zombies were created or infected and at the end they find a solution to save the survivors. Unfortunately for the zombies there was no solution except for their eradication. The zombies remind me of Resident Evil because it is only in those films that I saw these creatures running so fast. We always think that they are supposed to be slow, but no they don't.

The Possession

Excellent

Year: 2012

This movie is so good WOW! Like The Conjuring this film is based on a true story. I really like it as it was not boring like The Possession of David O’Reilley. I was scared when I needed to be scared and I didn't waited too long to be so. The movie is not slow and even if it is a possession, it is not total focus on an exorcism. The end was perfect and a happy ending nearly cross my mind but it was not what happened. Anyway I liked it and I recommend every horror movie fan to WATCH IT.

The Possession of David O'Reilly

BAD

Year: 2010

didn't want to be rude but that movie SUCKS. My bad I wanted to watch The Possession (2012) by Ole Bornedal and I've watched The Possession of David O’Reilley by mistake. I must admit, I was on alert all the time when the film started. This is because the movie’s music was good and I was waited for something frightening to happen all the time, especially when the camera moved very rapidly from a point to another. I was like “OK something scary is going to happen” and I waited… waited in vain. I didn't understand the film clearly and I must say that it was quite my fault as I fell asleep because it was BORING. I feel like I wasted my time watching that “horror movie” but I will watch The Possession soon and I will post on it. Hope that it will be better than this one.

Devil Inside

GOOD

Year: 2012

I was quite bored for the first 40 minutes of the films. I found it too slow and boring. Then when I saw the possessed girl, I started to feel alive again. I was not expecting that but I laughed when the Devil inside her started to talk. I laughed so much when she started to swear and it was worst when she made sexual proposals to the priest. I think this is because I like black humor. Even if the film did not scare me, I appreciated the fact that it woke me up from that boring beginning. Everything went from bad to worse after that for the three characters. I knew that the end was going to be dramatic and I love the fact that I was right about it.

The Purge

VERY GOOD

Year 2013

didn't know about the film until a friend told me so. I would never think that I would appreciate this kind of film before. When I saw Lena Headey from Game of Thrones in the movie, I knew that it would be a great one as she is as very good actress. Concerning the film it is a little weird to see how people imagine the future of the United States of America with the concept of the purge but this made a good movie and anything can happen. I like that it didn't had a happy ending otherwise it would have been like a fairy tale. Though a main character died not all of them had to undergo the same punishment and I appreciated that.

The Conjuring

VERY GOOD

Year: 2013

Really good movie in a whole but still I was quite disappointed. I must admit that the trailer I watched on YouTube was more frightening that the actual film. The happy ending was very good for the characters but I was expecting people to die in this film and I thought that I would end dramatically. Yet as the movie is based on a real story I think that I’m not supposed to expect that much.

I Spit on Your Grave 2

VERY GOOD

Year: 2013

Despite the bad critic I heard on the film, I wanted to see how bad it was. The thing is that it is a very good movie. I agree that some part of I Spit on Your Grave 2 look a little like the first one even if they are not related. The number of people involved in the rape is the same in both films. And in both of them the girls escaped to get help from the wrong persons which form part of the rapist’s groups. When I saw the first rape part in the second movie I was like “that all?” but it was not the case. I was so mad at the rapists for what they have done to the girl, even if I know that they were only actors. The best part of the story is when she took revenge and took the law in her own hands. I wanted her to torture them so badly before kill them until I saw what she did to the last one. As a dude I could literally feel what the guy was feeling. I felt so stupid when I realized that I was talking to my screen, “STOP IT STOP IT ITS ENOUGH.”
